CRY OF THE POOR

People crying, wailing with no clothes to cover

Days of food seems to be over

And busy seems the giver

Sitting on and going places with our money

We are all in fear

For the days of starvation is near

Where are the promise makers?

Hidden they are, in their mansions

Enjoying wine and beer

But for us, life is becoming harder

Many days passing by with no supper

To get a grain of maize is becoming a dream

The cooking fire is on strike

Why? Why? Always

Oh almighty dear God

Hear our plea and wipe our tears

For our leaders seem not to have pity

Growing rich and heartless everyday

Oh God…………… Have mercy
