DEPRESSION OF A TEENAGE BOY

Image

Always in darkness
Taking over the light
In thought of suicide
Isolated from the outside world
Hating everyone around
He does not want to make a sound
All he wants to do is cry
Always feels like he is dying inside
In a state of agitated depression
Facing the liquid depression
Like a closed session
Always tired and never able to sleep
In pity and hate others sympathy
In feelings of self hatred
Acknowledged his mistakes but without learn
Always in pain and sad
Making him act like he is mad
Lost and feeling low

  1. Both my wife and daughter are teachers and often talk about the many children who face such difficulties. What sadness. Young children should bubble over with zest for living, dreaming about future possibilities. This poem is all too real. Thank you.
